Apparently there is a nail trend going around that involves these long pointy nails and they are called Stilettos. Seeing as I rock acrylics anyway, I figured why not give these a try. Of course I had to mix up my own acrylic colors first. (That's fun!) I decided to go with black, red and a darker silver.
That wasn't too bad but let's get down to the actual process. I had to use nail forms which I haven't used in ages. Pain in the butt. I chose to use the reverse method. That means you work on your nail bed first. I went with a pink sheer. Anyway, you build that nail bed and let it dry. I cleaned up the smile line with a nail file before I went to work.
I had such issues getting the nail forms to stick so I had to hold on to them. I then went to work on building up the tips. That part was surprising easy but I still see where I could have done better.

These things are scary as hell. I mean, really! How do people function with these things on? There is no way! I can see doing this for a nail show or some sort of fashion show but this is not an all day, every day manicure. No way, no how! Enough rambling. Pictures!!!
